craftgrrl | touch lamp into a belt buckle?

hey hey.

i'm wondering if and how i could turn one of these [i just bought the star shaped one] into a belt buckle. i'm making fun stuff to bring to burning man, and i figure a giant light belt buckle would be great for when i'm out on the playa at night.

here's the thing. i thought of hot glue, or something, but that would MELT under the hot sun out there [nevada blackrock desert. HOT.] i was thinking of using those little bra clasps as a way to put the belt on [i'm thinking of making the strap out of fun fur, or something], but i'm trying to figure out how to make the star stay on the fabric without it melting off in the heat.

does that make sense? suggestions?
