zine coloring book!
Jun. 20th, 2004 01:59 pmAs has been being discussed in a previous post, I am starting a compilation of zinester's/artist's drawings to be included in a coloring book! Inspired by the theraputic effects of coloring in my own drawings in my sketchbook, I thought it would be quite splendid to put out a full-sized zine of various zinesters line drawings and comics for others to color in.
So here are the specifics for submissions:
*the theme is, very loosely, a random moment/event/happening that happened to you, that you imagine happening to you, etc... you can be creative with this!
*drawings/comics should be able to fit on an 8x11 sheet of paper (this will be a full-sized zine)
*your drawing does not have to be complex or intricate or even good! just make it so that it has enough spaces in it that people can use atleast a few colors to color it in. ideally, your finished drawing should probably be done in ink and/or marker.
*needless to say, please do not submit any racist/sexist/homophobic/offensive drawings. not that you would. i just have to say that.
*your drawings and comics can be submitted in 2 different ways:
you can mail it to me at the following address:
Sally Harless
PO Box 2135
Bloomington, IN
47402
OR you can scan your image and email it to me at sjharles@indiana.edu.
*also, i think it would be great if all submitters include a little bio about themselves, saying who they are, what they like, and maybe a little explaination of their drawing/comic.
*submissions are due August 20, 2004. that is in 2 months from me posting this (i want to get it all together before school starts)
*all contributers will receive a free copy of the finished zine, so please be sure to include your mailing address when you send in your submission!
all comments/questions/suggestions are more than welcome!
happy drawing!
