I have a sectional sofa that I decided to reupholster because it is about 15 years old and the people that had it before I did had cats who used the arms like a scratching post. It would have been uuuugly even without that. I finally finished one of the sections. The cowch sat naked with just the batting on it for about a month because I needed an extra pair of hands to help me hold the fabric down. Once I actually got someone to help me, it only took about a day. First, a few before pictures of what I call the "cowch":

I haven't done any upholstering on this scale before, just a few cushions here and there. I think these cowches were harder because they aren't a uniform shape. The arms are both different shapes so I couldn't just put the fabric over it inside out and pin it like one would normally be able to do. Nonetheless, I figured it out.

So now, after lots of fabric, cursing, and sore fingers,I give you....

I am so happy with how it turned out. Now I just have one more to do. Oh, and 12 of those little pillows that are on the old cowch.
