craftgrrlmy first attempt at crocheting a shawl.
it was so so hot this past week & because i didn't want to even move, i decided to finally tackle some projects i meant to do and which could be done while sitting in front of a fan. heh. i made it from a pattern in an old woman's day granny square magazine from 1976 (the year i was born!) that i got a thriftshop. i was just using some leftover yarn that my aunt gave me & the pattern actually called for 4 more of those circle motifs and three more of the squares, but at the gauge i ended up using, that would have been humongous(!!), so i just stopped there. i ended up using exactly the amount of extra yarn that i had. phew!!
there's another faaaabulous pattern in that magazine that i'm definitely going to have to try. yay for old patterns!
