Pants Suit---->Skirt
Jul. 1st, 2004 07:47 pmHey kids! I need a lil' help.
I bought a pants suit (it's a one-piece affair made of super-stretchy material like something out of the 70s) that I want to turn into a gown (because the top is *beautiful* and so are the pants but for work-reasons it needs to be a gown and not pants). Would it be okay if I just cut it up the inseams and then sewed a seam in the front and a seam in the back? I might also only sew one side a bit and leave either a front slit or a back slit. This should be relatively simple, I'm thinking... I just wanted a little bit of advice (snags I might hit, tricks i might use) before I started cutting and pinning.
Thanks!
