[identity profile] morriganslayde.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
I recently made a bookbag out of this very pretty white and pink fabric and I thought, to be cute, I'd make the pockets out of lace and then use lace trim remnants (a few leftover feet) to make the strap. But then once I put it on with books in it, it sagged and stretched because of the strap being a bit weak. Does anyone know how I can keep the lace look of the strap and reinforce the strength preferably without removing the lace (I went overboard and doubled back and forth, like, 12 times with a satin stitch in two rows on each side)...? I can't think of how to reinforce it.
