Jul. 8th, 2004 12:43 amJust knocked this out today. I thought it would take longer, but the longest part was stringing the strands of beads for wrapping. The side views behind the cut didn't turn out very well, but the head-on picture is pretty clear.

I'll be wearing this instead of a veil when I get married in October. I started with a circle of 20 gauge copper wire fit to sit on my head with the assistance of bobby pins, then created the "tiara" part with more wire wrapped at the sides and raised in the middle. I then made strands of beads using 26 gauge copper wire and wrapped them randomly. The rest is just twisted wire, other random beads, and little glass leaves all attached with wire. It was fun to make and fairly quick.

Oh, and I also just picked this up from the paint your own pottery studio by my apartment. It turned out really well. I just penciled in the design freehand and then painted over it. It took a total of about 8 hours.
