Sorry if this is a stupid question -

I have some dupioni fabric, green with a shot of silver, and I'm wondering if there is a rule about its direction or nap like that of velvet. Is there an incorrect way to cut it or do I just need to make sure the whole garment is the same direction regardless of the nap? It looks the same to me no matter what angle I view. Thank you!
