Heyyyy crafters. I fall into the 'longtime lurker, first time poster' category - I've been watching Craftgrrl since forever ago, before I got an LJ even, and it brought out my 'inner crafter' I guess. All I know about crafting, I've learned from you ladies - cheers for that!
Been busy today...I made this skirt:

I wore it to work tonight, and everyone commented on it, I was so happy. ^_^ No pattern or anything. It's relatively simple though, and I can try to post a tutorial if anyone wants, but I can't guarantee how good I'll be at that. ^^;;

Side view.
The sides are also ruched...here's what it looks like when it's completely...un-ruched? Eh, well, anyway, this is the longest it gets.

And here's about the shortest it gets.

This is the fabric - I got it at Joann's, in case you're curious. Still have a bunch left, though...any idea what I can do with that? It's, er, stretchy, if that helps. ^_^
Also made today...all this summer I've been studying runes, and I finally got around to making a set today:

ack, the flash totally messed that up. They're basically just glass stones, available in your friendly neighborhood floral section, and the symbols are painted on with, um, silver nail polish. Heh. Ghetto runes!
I also had this bag lying around, made of a see-throughish gold fabric, that has now been reincarnated into The Rune Bag(tm).

Except I put a black lining in it, because otherwise I could see all the runes before I picked them, and that wouldn't do...

So here it is lined.
Heh, I also really really hope the photos show up for everyone...I'm not sure how reliable Photobucket is.
