craftgrrl | Administrative notice: Moderator changes (Reply)

Greetings Craftgrrls (and boys),

I wanted to inform you of some changes to the moderators of our community.

heresyoftruth is taking a sabbatical right now. She plans to return to the community in the future, possibly in a more limited capacity. I hope she returns to us, as she ROCKS!

For the time being, I'm going to be the head mod.

I've just added the lovely

balamuthia as a mod, and I think that she'll be a wonderful addition to our community administrators. Please give her a warm welcome.

I'll be looking to add someone else in the next few months as well, and I have my eye on a couple of people already. We're hoping that before the busy holiday season, we'll have four active mods, which should help the community to run smoothly.

I'd also like to apologize for all of the recent crap on the community. We seem to have attracted a few trolls. Most of our members are wonderful, but even just one person can cause a lot of problems. Negative behavior will not be tolerated. I've been loathe to ban people lightly, but we have 5,277 members, which makes us one of the largest (and IMHO, best) communities on LJ, and I'm of the opinion that if one member is causing problems, we're really not lacking in the cool people department, and I'm probably going to be a touch more free with banning.

Even with multiple mods, this is a high traffic community, and we may not catch everything. If you notice a problem, please contact me right away. If you wish to comment regarding a problem post or comment, feel free, but please don't egg on the trolls. Keep your comments constructive and polite. It is possible to speak out about problems in a constructive, non-inflammatory manner, and I'd really appreciate your help in keeping this community awesome.
