cutting plastic? or other ideas?

i really really really love these picture frames:



BUT, most of my existing pictures are cut down/what if they don't fit (most of my pictures are vertical)...

so i was wondering if there is any way to either find little plastic frames and put them all together myself (what sort of glue would i use, etc? i assume i can find plastic frames of various sizes at walmart) or any other cheaper idea of hwo to arrange photos like that and have them protected somehow...
