I'm part of Theta Rho, a charity organization. This year, it's our sector's responsibility to provide decorations and favors, since one of our club's members is State President. We have to base our favors on her interests, which are teddy bears, lighthouses, and white roses. Her colors are Jade, Light Blue, and a Plum Purple.
We have a budget varying from $300 to about $220, depending on other factors. My question:
What are some cost-effective crafts and decorations that we can create, enough for at least 130 people, that don't take incredible amounts of time or talent? (some of them scoff at the idea of making things at all)
So far, we've thought up:
-small painted terra cotta pots accompanied by seeds
-clear glycerin soaps with pictures of lighthouses and bears inside
-white chocolate, shaped with small rose molds, and wrapped in tulle and ribbon
-small picture frames painted with the President's colors
-ceramic bears (which we would then paint, saving money?)
-ivy draped over boxes acting as pedestals on the tables
-Hershey's Kiss roses
Any ideas would be xcore appreciated!
