Hello, you crafty ladies. This is my first post here. Beneath the cut, you will find three shirts which have been posted in [livejournal.com profile] t_shirt_surgery, two boxes my best friend made for me, things made from duct tape, old pictures from the 60's (which I need your help with), and an arts & crafts project from camp I made with my group of 6-year-old boys.

The first three photos are of a shirt that I made for my little brother, inspired by a shirt he bought before camp that read "My mommy thinks I'm special." He had his birthday at camp, so this was my birthday present for him. I sent it up with my parents on Visitor's Day, so I wasn't able to get any pics of him wearing it. Though, aparently, he loved it so much that he put it on as soon as he got it.

(and I use the term little brother very loosely, as he is 6'2".)

The next two shirts were made for my school's Poetry Day. It sounded really lame, but it was actually kind of fun. So the week before the Poetry Day was gonna happen, we had an entire period to make these shirts. They gave us plain white t-shirts and fabric markers. The first pics are of my brothers shirt, which was picked as one of the best shirts made that day. I realy like it.

My shirt, definetly not as good as my brothers:

Thanks for looking! I hope you guys enjoyed, and any feedback about my brother's shirt will definetly be passed along to him! And I looooove comments, incase that inspires you to leave me any.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ that's the end of the stuff I posted in t_shirt_surgery
I asked my dad in passing if Home Depot sold any different coloured duct tape, and he said no. Then the next day he brought me...
Before he bought me the duct tape, I'd made a rose out of the silver colour. I took pics, but they came out raelly blurry and I don't want to give anyone here a headache. I also made one for my mom, and she really liked it. And I also made this for my brother....
The next day, the glue was starting to come off, so I just stuck the letters down with more duct tape. I hadn't meant for it to be a bracelet/cuff, but apparently my brother is using it that way (I also sent this up with my parents for Visitor's Day).
Now here are some pictures that I found at camp a few years ago, that were going to be thrown out. So, I rescued them from certain death and decided I could do something with them. Except... now I have no clue how to use them!!
Any ideas?????? I tried to take closer pics, but they came out blurry.
Last year and the year before, when I was at camp, my best friend sent me boxes of stuff up with my parents for Visitor's Day. Here's the first box:
And the second:
They were a wonderful thing to get from her.
And, finally, a lady bug that was made out of a plastic bowl, paint, glue, googely-eyes, scissors, and construction paper. It was made at the day camp where I work. It turned out much better than the boys' turned out!!
Oh and I'm also wearing a bracelet I made at camp in that pic.
I hope you guys enjoyed all the stuff I posted!!! I'm planning on doing more stuff this summer... and I love seeing all the stuff you guys make.
Bye!
