Felt Flowers

Alright...Question...I saw yesterday, someone made flowers from felt. Well about an hour ago, I went to Michael's and bought a few sheets of felt and one of the sheets of felt with the sticky stuff on the back of it (I thought I could use it as the 'base' of the flower (ie - the leaves). I went to venuszine and saw the tutorial but honestly, I'm not into sewing, so when I went to Michael's I bought my felt, some beads, pins, and a hot glue gun.

Am I doing it all wrong, or do you think that it will turn out alright with taking the non sewing approach?
