Jul. 29th, 2004 11:58 amHey! I’m a sorta-long-time lurker. I have a question for y'all.
I want to stencil two suitcases and I want the original color to stay intact. is there anything I could do before or after so the paint won't chip or peel? they are old, hard Samsonite suitcases that are a bit shiny and mildly textured.

this is a double-sided lomo curtain I made from 30 or so color prints that I shot with an action sampler. I glued them back to back and then stitched them together with a zigzag stitch and white thread.

This is the first quilt I actually got around to completing. It’s made out of denim and cotton squares. It’s about 30" x 30". I wish I could've gotten a shot of the entire thing but I gave it to someone before I could get a chance.

This is a cigar box purse I made for a friend. I wanted to keep the artwork and the cigar box-ness intact. I put on hinges and a cabinet handle, along with red ribbons to tie it shut. It's not terribly orginal but I really liked it and I hope she does!
Right now, I’m working on a reconstructed book for the boy, a t-shirt quilt and a crazy quilt for a friend. Hopefully, I’ll have one of them done soon (I’ve been working on them all summer).
Thanks much for your help and for looking at my stuff.
