::New Projects::
Jul. 30th, 2004 10:09 amHere are some recent craft projects that I've been up to! I'm moving soon and I wanted to make some new stuff for my new house!
80s pillow! I saw that fabric ( flannel ) and I just had to get it. It's so 80s it reminded so much of my childhood! I'm also going to make pajama pants out of it too.

My Giger Birth Machine Baby Clock! I bought a clock for $1.99 at Ikea and took it apart. I cut the numbers out. I took those 2 pictures of the birth machine baby and pasted them onto black matboard. Then I glued the numbers on and cut a hole in the middle. I then attached the hands ( which I painted white ).

Duck Lamp! I found this lamp for $1 at a thift store. The base was an ugly pale yellow and I painted it red. The shade was kind of falling apart arond the edges and I glued red ribbon to the edges as a nice trim. That was the hardest thing to do out of all these crafts, ha!

Blanket I crochetted! I have been working on it here and there all summer. It's 4' 7" by 4' 7"

The shelves I've been panting! These were in my room whem I was a toddler. I needed a bookcase and I found these up in the attic! They were a very ugly mustard yellow color so I painted them black and white to match my tim burton mystery table! The only problem is that while I was painting them I noticed itty bitty baby spiders in EVERY corner. So I had to kill them all, I thought I did and I thought the paint fumes would kill the ones I missed but I guess I was wrong because they're still on there! I have to soak that thing in raid I guess before I bring it up with me.
