I had this vintage curtain fabric that my grandmother had donated to my "sewingscraps" bin. It was just dying to be experimented on. This was the first time I've ever used a pattern, and despite the crappy pictures that don't do it justice, this skirt ROCKS. It's comfortable, warm enough for winter, but airy enough for summer, twirly, and it kicks so much ass my bum was sore just sewing it.



This is what the fabric ACTUALLY looks like. My webcam doesn't do anything for it. And you can't see the twirlyness in these still photos.

I even learned how to sew elastic! I've had such a productive day, I'm the queen of unemployed domesticity! WOO! I even made devilled eggs!
