craftgrrlTonight I set out to make a skirt I'd actually wear.
I used a standard pillow case and inspiration was found in a friend's teen magazine . . . however, I didn't remember how they did it, so I made it up as I went along!
Front with star button detail

Back detail with handy-dandy darts (my first attempt ever)
The skirt is super comfy and is secured by those two buttons (with lovely button holes) and a hidden safety-pin along the waistband for extra protection.
It's like a kilt, but hotter. Took me about . . . an hour.
