Aug. 6th, 2004 01:28 amSince some of us are going back to school soon, I thought I'd share some dorm room ideas with you all. My roomie and I did this last year.
*Don't be antisocial, and keep your door open. To add a bit of privacy, we made 2 curtains from those old AOL/too-scratched-to-play CD's, and hung them at the end of our beds.

*We also hung some chains, using S hooks (on a curtain rod held up with those sticky-backed hooks), over our doorway to add to the privacy without completely shutting people out. In this pic, you can also seee the rope lights around the foot of the bed. There are red ones around the ceiling as well.

*Once we got to know each other a little better, we decided to work together to make a collage for the door.
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/Fyyrefighterpyro/collage.jpg"</img>
*I don't have a pic for this one, but we also put CD's and posters all over the ceiling using double-stick tape... be careful its not too strong though or it can pull off chuncks of drywall... oops, hehe
*Curtains help a LOT too (if I can find a pic, I'll add it)
*and pictures of friends, family, pets, hobbies... anything to make it home-y
Hope this helps a little! feel free to ask me if you have any questions as to HOW we made some of these. Or just interrogate me, I may have more ideas/pics to share.</lj-cut>
