vacation crafts
Aug. 9th, 2004 04:51 pmI just spent some time at my grandparents house, they live in a very small village in the north of Sweden, and there isn't much to do there, except swiming and crafting.

Here's my grandmother posing a scarf I crotcheted. I think I will knit matching gloves.

I also used my grandmothers loom for the first time and weaved what I think will be bags (folding it and then stitching the sides together). I made three of these with different colors and technics, but I'm not sure what I should use as shoulder strap. Any suggestions?

I've wanted one of these since forever. After I discovered that my mother actually knows a bowling alley owner and that she could buy one from him, the only problem was how to drill a whole right through the pin for the electricity. My grandparents neighbor is a carpenter and he had a 50 cm long drill and he helped me. Yey! The lampshade is a bit boring though. I'm thinking about repainting the pin so it has the classic red stripes.
