Maruo Silkscreen
Aug. 14th, 2004 02:28 amI'm new. I'm Andrea. I just wanted to show off my first attempt at silkscreening. Nothing real complicated or intricate. It took me about 5 times to get the timing right. I had to simplify my design so it would actually print. After one failed attempt, I bleached the whole thing and started over and then one part didn't wash out completely so I had to scrape off the photo emulsion with a needle so it would print correctly.
I figured I'd combine my love of gore, all things japanese, and crafts. Its a piece of art by suehiro maruo. I think I'm gonna print it on a tote bag or something.
