my little sister is going to be a freshman at WSU this year.  she mentioned she wanted some cool tacks/pushpins for the bulliten board.  so i made her some.  we also decorated notebooks for some of her classes.

and of course, the tacks, i used crap i found around my house... beads, toys, pogs, bottle caps, fake jewels, buttons.  she LOVED it.

 

for the notebooks, we used spray adhesive to stick on scrapbooking paper and an exacto knife to cut the excess paper after gluing. some of the notebooks we put the class name, but some class names were so crazy and ass backwards she wasn't even sure what to call it!
