craftgrrl | Calendar Creation Question

Hey, I've been watching this community forthe longest time, often getting good ideas and going on crafting crazes, (Marble magnets, mosaics, etc.) but i finally decided to post because i am stumped beyond all reason.
So this semester I decided to not go back to the university I started at last fall. I need to make some kind of gift for my best friend from school, since I will miss her so much come the fall. I have hundreds of pictures of us together and i decided that i wanted to make her a calendar, with each month full of pictures of us together, but since I have a lot more pictures than there are months, I had two ideas, I could either make a huge collage for each month, or what I really wanted to do, but have no idea how to make it, is one of those page a day calendars, the ones you buy in the store and like tear off each day, blah blah. but i have no idea how i could make one of those myself does anyone have any suggestions?
