hi....

i had a really productive and day... using ONLY things found around my house!(not exactly 'average household items', just previously purchased crafty things.) i started out by making some wings....

wire and black nylons. not as symmetric as i wanted once i put the nylons on so i quickly and crummily finished them up. perhaps i will decorate them/fix the elastic later.

this is how the wire was bent before the nylons.

they are kind of hot and sexy, but only from certain angles.

i got kind of addicted, especially after looking at the faerie fashion community, so i made more wing frames.

i want to (try to) put some sheer not-nylon fabric on the bigger ones and maybe wire and beads on the little ones.

i also made a french memo board. it's for my dorm room... right now it even has postcards from france and switzerland in it! the bright, colorful stars were nice, but it needed something MORE, so i ironed on a few glow in the dark stars, too. i may have gone sort of ribbon crazy, but then again, maybe not. i certainly went staple crazy, though... which kind of sucked, because the staples stick through the foam board a little bit.

however... i covered the staple butts and secured the ribbon (bias tape from the 80's) with my hideous pink duct tape. of which, i have nearly 60 yards! crap! so much ugly duct tape!

and that's my cat, chillin' on the leftover star fabric, just because she can.

i made a bag, too... a while ago...

it has a zipper (purchased by the foot somewhere and without the zipper foot thing) as the strap.

i'm not a purse person, but i needed a smallish bag that i'd actually use. look how *me* it is... it matches my outfit of random t-shirt and pants perfectly today!

and that is all.
