Aug. 24th, 2004 05:17 pmI called in sick today. I have spent most of my time sitting around feeling ill in my tummy, my nose running, my sinuses aching, my throat and uvula swollen and very ouchie, sneezing, and sweating. God, don't you just wish you were me? When not passed out, I have been keeping myself busy online.
Anyway, before I go face plant on the bed, I thought I would post some recent craftiness.
I decoupaged these wooden frames with bits of acid-free paper from a Mulberry Scrap Pack (Paperbilities) from the scrapbooking section. I used Mod Podge (gloss-lustre) and sealed it with a clear spray matte acrylic sealer. The frames were a gift for
brandyw for her recent birthday. The photos in the frames are ones I had taken earlier this year. Brandy has admired my photos before and so I thought that this might be a well-received gift. I do believe that she liked them.

My boyfriend, (lj user=antiinanity>, works with leather and I thought that I would some of his pieces as well. I'm not sure of the guage of leather for either piece and he's not currently here to ask. This first is a leather watch band featuring white and black leather. I think that all of his hardware is nickle plated. The watch face is just for show as that is his watch and actually goes in the band that he made for himself (which he wears daily).

This next piece is a leather briefcase/messenger bag. The handle has not been decided upon (because whoever receives it will decide what handle they prefer) but it could be worked as either. The bag is made entirely of black leather.

Fini.
