i know this has been talked about before, i looked through the memories :P but i was wondering if anyone had ever tried this with koolaid...i like the way the colors come out on the wool color chart, i cant find any rit near me in the really good colors (we just have like denim blue, scarlet red, yellow at walmart) so i was wondering if i could use this as a recipe to dye a tshirt? do you think the vinegar would lock in the color, i'm only asking because the vinegar hasnt really been talked about, so i'm thinking maybe it's like..easter eggs? ;p i have no idea :/ sorry for my babbling, on to the recipe.

T-shirt
Unsweetened Kool-Aid®, several different flavors
Vinegar
Small plastic bowls
Plastic gloves
Rubber bands

Instructions:
For every color you wish to use, put 1 package Kool-Aid® and 1 ounce of vinegar in individual plastic bowls. Mix until Kool-Aid® is dissolved. Using rubber bands, pull and twist T-shirt into different shapes. Dip rubber-banded ends in bowls (make sure you wear gloves or your hands will stain). To set colors, iron on medium-high using an ironing cloth between shirt and iron. Let set for 24 hours before washing. To be safe, wash separately the first time. Launder T-shirt as usual and it's ready to wear.
