Wire wrapping help

craftgrrlI bought some agate slices from Michaels today and decided to wrap them so that I can use them with jewelry. I saw a necklace in Chico's about 6 months ago that had a slice on it, and wanted to do something like that.
What kind of wire would I use? Do I need anything else to do this? Any kind of cement/glue? Any help with this would be greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance!
