PC Goddess Mobiles
Aug. 30th, 2004 12:26 pmI've always loved mobiles. It's really hard to find well-crafted ones for adult tastes, however, so I tried to make some of my own from a bit of floral wire and some polymer clay experiments.
The goddesses themselves were made from a stamp by Paula Best that I either stamped directly into the polymer clay and later colored, or I stamped them on shrink plastic, colored and shrunk them before incorporating them with the polymer clay. I didn't have the foresight to make them double-sided, so I backed all of them with decorative papers.
This was my first try with large goddess heads and confetti-style "bodies."

My second try was with much smaller, more evenly weighted goddesses with shrink plastic faces.
