Hi, first time poster :)
Aug. 31st, 2004 03:34 amI had some scraps of old jeans lying around. Since I hate throwing fabric, I decided to make a bag from it. It's made of a whole lot of small pieces, because I didn't have anything that would be big enough by itself.
The straps are left to fray.. partly because I like it that way, but also because my sewing machine refused to sew through 4 layers of denim :p
The Hello Kitty fabric in the lid, was scraps from a skirt I made a long time ago.
The lining is made from a satin top I got for christmas, that didn't fit me.
The closure is the drawstring from that same top, with an elastic to keep it closed. (You just push the elastic up to close it)
I added a fimo bead and a little loop to keep the lid closed.
I had to stuff it for the pictures, but it looks better when it's not quite as full.
