cone-shaped fleece hat
Sep. 2nd, 2004 12:19 pmI'm going crazy, lol. You would think, since Christmas is a major holiday, that somewhere on the internet there is a Santa Claus cone-shaped sewing pattern for free, but I just can not find one (only knitting patterns, which don't help me). The basic shape of this Naruto hat is a cone shape, so I figured I could just base it on a Santa hat. I searched through some patterns at the fabric store, too, and couldn't find any. Bleh.
So, I'm just going to wing it and hope I can get something decent. I'm thinking basically, I just cut out two triangular-shaped pieces and sew them together... but my question is this: the bottom of the triangle (the shorter side, which will be where the head is) -- should I cut it straight, or should I cut it curved somewhat (not quite circular-curved, but kind of..)?
