After the (moderate) success of the top I stencilled, I decided to make a purse/bag out of too-small jeans. I had attempted this once before and miserably failed. However, thank goodness I tried again, because I like the result.

The lining was made from fabric I had leftover from a skirt I made last year in fashion. I'm glad it came to good use. The purse took me about three hours to make because I had to handsew the lining to the outside because the denim was too thick for my sewing machine. I'm a very slow handsewer.

I made a cell phone pocket... no girl pocket though. Maybe I'll add it later.
The inside is cuter than the outside... the outside looks kind of plain. Any ideas to make it spiffier?
