(no subject)

I couldn't find an answer to my crafting question of the moment in the memories (so sorry if it's in there and I'm just not seeing it), but here's the situation...I found some great yarn a while ago and I'm determined to learn to knit or crochet soon, but for now I'm stuck with just finger knitting. So I made a bunch of long chains with the intentions of making a scarf. Is there any way to attach them to each other and have it look decent? Also, are there any other fun projects I can do til I finally go out and get knitting needles?
