So we decided on the basic concept of our wedding invitations. We decided that we are going to go for a very subtle princess bride kinda theme.

 

The red is almost the color of the red in our wedding colors. For the black, I took a sponge and dipped it in ink and applied, and then dusted with embossing powder and melted. It came out really well I thought. (It's supposed to look like that hammered cast iron stuff) This is just a prototype, but I'm really pleased with the way it came out. I do think I'm going to play with another way to hold it closed aside from the ribbon, but we shall see.
