crafty hand sewing
Sep. 13th, 2004 05:31 pmhere's a couple of things i've made in the past couple of days. they're all sewn by hand (including all the beads!) because i don't have access to a sewing machine at school.

front of the cuffs. the purple one is polka dotted but i sewed seed beads on each of the dots (oh the tedium) the bottom one is made from some way cool fabric.

back. i sewed another piece of ribbon to the back of the beaded cuff to hide the stiches and i sewed another piece of fabric to the other cuff to make it nice and neat.

outside of the wallet (i'm going to have to add a ribbon snap closure b/c it's a little floppy)

inside

yes i do go to smith. these are the two card holders i made sewing ribbon together to make it wide enough and attaching it to the background fabric. the cards kinda slide out of it so i may have to take them off and do something else or made a fastener to keep those buggers in there.

this is a bigger pocket i made by weaving ribbon together. it holds all the other junk in my wallet.

the inside of the bill pouch. not finished as nicely as it should be. i think i'm going to insert a piece of fabric covered cardstock or light weight cardboard to give it a more finished look and to add some sturdiness b/c it's pretty floppy.
so i'm basically addicted to sewing, especially since the local fabric store sells AWESOME fabrics. yay!
