Today I decided to make that lip balm I had been planning on making for Christmas presents. I used the recipe from marthastewart.com (here). I made a little batch just to test it out, and decided to change it a little right away. I found that recipe to be a little glossy for my liking, so instead of 3 teaspoons of beeswax, I used 4 and got the results I wanted. Also, the suggestion of 6-7 drops of essential oil made the flavouring really weak, so you could barely even taste it. So, I doubled it to 14-15 and got really good results with that.

All in all, it was a successful first attempt at lip balm making.
