These, although rather simple looking took forever to do. Four hours for each. For the Pippi Longstocking one I had to come up with an appropriate image of Pippi to use. I found one through google and roughly doodled my own version adding her monkey. What I HATE about premade clocks, is that the space on the clock face is really rather limited.
Luckily I was able to adjust Pippi's appendages that the numbers weren't too blocked or she wasn't left being cut off. All in All I like it. The frame of the clock was orginally some burgendy plastic stuff. I sanded it down, painted a billion coats of white over it and decided ... it should look like a life preserver. Now I'm not too sure if I am fond of the idea.
The Dora the Explorer clock I did for my two year old niece who is the world's biggest Da! fan. It's just another plain old plastic clock only this time the frame was painted some horrible metalic gold colour. I luckily could just wash that off with a bit of cleaner. The worst part of the Dora clock, painting the individual stripes along the frame. Each stripe I swear took what seemed like a billion coats to cover. Also I have the most difficult time drawing Boots for some bizarre reason.
I'll apologise for picture quality, although it's just possibly my monitor which is on its way out that's making them look worse. Also, the Pippi clock heh I'm not cock eyed and did not paint it on a slant. I can't remember why I took the pictures like that at all.
Also, if clocks get old tell me to stop! Sometimes I forget how to.
Additional note: Worse comes to worse, if the pictures still do not show, one can try here. I think that might work. Maybe.
