the front: there are little pieces of garnet in the circle box thingie

the inside (sorry it didn't show up very well) there's a note on the left side and a squash book style insert on the right that says "garnet" and has a picture of a pomegranete

it's for my little sister (it's a smith tradition where an upperclass person gets a first year as a little sibling, leaves them little surprises for four days, then the secret identity of the big sibling is revealed. tonight is when we get to reveal who's been leaving little surprises outside the first year's doors!). i have no clue if she likes garnet, but i went on a field trip last weekend and brought back a ton of the stuff, and it's one of the many minerals i'm coming to adore!
