koo koo choo choo
Oct. 3rd, 2004 05:00 amFor those of you that were so supportive on this post, I thought you might like to see the results of the project that I actually purchased the supplies for:
And isn't the head always the hardest part? For sheesh...

Just to see if I could do it, I decided to make my very own stuffed Choo Choo Bear (from Something Positive, yay). Did it turn out that I could do it? Oh, sure it did:
For some reason, the fleece that I made the body from photographs completely wonky. He's not really purple or beigey-pink, like he looks some of the pictures--he's more of a 'hot/pepto bismol' type pink (for reference: the Choo Choo Browser). This is our intrepid kitty from the top:

I kind of like how he ended up being all sprawly...like he's going to ooze off somewhere any minute. You KNOW he wants to. ;)
From the side:

Close-up of the face:

Again, he's not neon purple. But it was the only way I could get any kind of picture of the paw detail. I embroidered the paw pads with the same color thread as the rest of the body, so it didn't contrast enough for a good photograph:

I'm really pleased with the way that he turned out...but now, this cat is just begging for a 'Droog-Droog' costume for Halloween. Woohoo.
