1950's dress

I'm going to be either a martini or a cosmopolitan for Halloween. I want a 1950's style dress with a very wide skirt to suggest the shape of the glass. Can anyone suggest a pattern for me? Or can you suggest any other drinks that would make a cool costume? I have already been give the idea of sangria, which isn't out of the question. I like pina coladas too.

At any rate, I will have a purse shaped like an olive or a lime wedge. Or a flower umbrella, depending on what I choose.
