Nifty ways to wrap presents?
Oct. 5th, 2004 11:40 pmChristmas is coming! I was just thinking about how I'm going to get my mom to make some Christmas ornaments with her scroll saw to give to my boyfriend's family. My question is, what's a neat way I could wrap them all up? I'll have to send it in the mail so whatever I do, it can't be too big or heavy. I was hoping I could find some way to do it by sewing, since that's my main crafty thing, but I can't think of anything. Of course anything not involving sewing will be fine too. I have this pretty sturdy box that some perfume came in, I'm guessing I could use that and make it spiffy...but yes, suggestions for anything please. :)
Also, another question. I've seen people do that applique stuff (I *think* that's what it's called) with the pieces of cut-out felt with lines sewed on to make it look neat, and they put them on purses and whatnot. Are there any patterns or at least like...pictures of a lot of those type things so I could get some ideas? I really want to try something like that but I'm not near creative enough to come up with something like that on my own. I could make a smiley face but that's about it hahah.
