Hi!
This is my first post on Craftgrrl though I have been reading and looking at all your amazing creations for a while! You are all SO talented! I have a question about bleach pens, but so it's not a text-only post, I have some pictures of some wool felt needle books I've been making lately (also posted these on craftster)...
First, my question. I want a black t-shirt with this image on it:

It's the White Tree of Gondor from the Lord of the Rings (yeah, I'm a serious LOTR geek).
I was going to try iron-on transfer paper, but I thought the branchy/pointy details would be too difficult and might peel off with wear. I have never stenciled before, so I didn't want to mess with paint. I thought I'd try making a stencil, and then use one of those bleach pens.
I am just wondering...you know how bleach is supposed to make everything white? But when you put it on certain colors, it instead makes it yellow, or brownish? If I used the bleach pen on black will it look really white? Obviously for the "white tree" I want it to be as white as possible.
Secondly, here are some pictures of the felt needle books I've been making. They are nothing fancy, but they are easy to make and handy. I think they'd make good gifts for those who sew. I am a quilter, so I have a lot of hand sewing needles in their packages lying around. So I wanted a place to keep them. I used wool felt, since it holds up better than craft felt, and the lanolin in wool is supposedly good for your needles (keeps them from rusting).
