jewelry making
Oct. 18th, 2004 07:29 pmI have a question about jewelry making particulary making earrings. I'm super new at all this craft stuff and I've only made on mod podge picture frame (which did turn out cute I might add :) but I'm really interested to get my hands into making jewelry.
Here's my problem....
I bought a straight nose plier and this other thing called a '3 in 1' jewelry maker's tool which cuts, curls, and bends. Will these be sufficient to make jewelry?
I bought also 2 packages of beads, some green and some pink, and also this really small starter kit that makes 3 earrings but has lots of straight pins and connecters (those circle thingys.)
Does anyone know of a good place to buy beads or where do you get your beads from? (p.s. I'm saving my money for a vehicle so I'm really tight on cash but can buy cheap stuff)
What about straight pins? Is this something Micheals or Hobby Lobby might sell?
Does anyone have any good info. or websites about how to make jewelry, things needed, and tutorials? Anything and everything helps. I've seen how great of things ya'll have made and I would like to make some too. (plus it will be cheaper by making a lot of earrings instead of paying $5-10 a pair at a store)
Thank you so much craftgrrls!
