help with glitter, glue and glass!
Oct. 24th, 2004 11:44 ami'm experimenting with glass ornaments. i have pre-shaped ornaments from Michael's and i etched a few with snowflakes and what not. they were kind of plain, so i wondered what to do to spice them up. i thought maybe coating the inside with glitter would be nice-they'd be all sparkly as they're hanging on a tree (presumably). but of course i'm having an issue with this. i tried using some spray adhesive, but as you could imagine, i could only spray in one direction, so the glitter clumped. i've had some luck watering down some Clear Gel Tacky Glue, mixing in the glitter and then pouring it inside and moving it around. but i'm still getting little bubbles and streaks. i'm not sure what it will look like dry!
has anyone done this successfully and have any tips? am i using the wrong kind of adhesive?
i'll also gladly welcome any tips/suggestions to spicing up my glass ornaments!!
just so this isn't boring text-only,

i used a star-shaped hole puncher, masking tape and etching cream of course. damn my camera for not having a macro function!!
thanks in advance for your help!!
