The Dritz Snap Setter

craftgrrlPlease help! I have a new Dritz snap and eyelet setter. The thing doesn't set snaps well at all. It uses two rubber rings to hold the pieces, but they do more harm than good by causing the snap pieces to miss each other and get smushed.
Any hints at all would be much much MUCH appreciated. I am disappointed. I knew that Dritz isn't exactly super professional, but I figured it would at least WORK.
