hey everyone! a few days ago i posted a fuzzy scarf that i knitted at work. well i made a hat to go along with it so here they are together in bliss <3

i have a question and i'm not quite sure if it's appropriate for here but i have to try. i have an old lamp with no shade which is falling apart. i thought to myself that it would be  a cool idea to take the innards of the lamp out (it still works.. its just ugly haha) and make a lamp out of something else. could i do this? has anyone heard of doing this and if so do you know how i would even go about it? thanks! :)
