I joined this group over the weekend and I am really enjoying seeing what projects people are working on. Let's see... I am 24 and I have always been into crafts. I took art classes in school but hated most every project because the teachers were so rigid and controlling. I never took any art classes at my college because you had to major in art to take them. Unfortunately, I think I majored in everything but art.
I just learned how to crochet a couple of weeks ago but I am not really good at it. I do odd things when I turn to start a new row (not up on the lingo, sorry!) but it still looks decent. I am currently working on a scarf which is turning out okay. I also like weaving but I don't have a loom so I have to improvise.
At some point, when I have the space and the money, I want to get into quilting. My great-grandmother made quilts and I have studied them (they are very simple ones) enough until I think I could replicate her work. I guess for now though I will stick to crocheting. It's cheaper.
Anyhoo, glad to meet you all!
