[identity profile] lepamplemousse.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
Hi guys, this is my first post here but I've been watching forever (so much inspiration to be found)! Since it's my second day of summer vacation (I'm in NZ) I thought I'd share what I've been doing with my new sewing machine and my spare time.

$3 pearl beads from the warehouse + Cute fabric from Spotlight, it was 15% off $6 a meter (you do the math!) =

I didn't use a pattern b/c I'm "adventurous" and thought my math skills were sooo good that I could just wing it, I managed to cut out a perfect circle with the help of some string & pencils....
before I sewed it all together

but I had a lot of problems b/c I cut the waist hole too big which = a lot of time trying to fix it up and make the sides even. I still have to buy snaps so it will close up properly (I've safety pinned it here).
Hemming a circle is a time consuming bitch

As for the necklace, I just strung up a ton of beads, only leaving enough for a 1 layer necklace or a 2 layer bracelet.
oooo multiple ways another way of wearage

here is the second string of beads that can be worn as either a necklace or a bracelet

as a necklace as a bracelet

ALL PUT TOGETHER

YAY! COMPLETION
