A little cross-posted
Nov. 18th, 2004 07:11 pmOkay, so I have this boyfriend/ex-boyfriend/good friend... Ah, I don't know what we are right now, it changes every time we talk. We WERE pretty serious, then he moved a zillion miles away, and now he's moving to Alaska. Anyway, there's still lots of mutual affection/ good termage/what have you, and I still want to send him a Christmas present. However, I'm poor, and while I want to send him something meaningful I think it would be weird and in questionable taste to give him a romantic-type present. And then I came up with this great idea!
He really loves wall hangings. Those tend to be expensive. But then I thought I could use some really pretty batik fabric, a bleach pen, and some cool stencils and circumvent the whole expensive thing. The problem is that I've never stenciled anything, and don't know where to get the stencils that I would need. I don't have photoshop or any comprable programs, so I can't really make my own.
Can any of you lovely craftsters out there help me out with stencils of the following?
Cool Buddha stencils
Lotus stencils
Om shanti om in sanscrit stencils
shapes or patterns that would make a cool border
Holding the Jewel mudra (or an mudra, really) stencil
Absolutely anything else along these lines
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
