Ok, so i'm kind of in a dilemna maybe sorta kinda.

see, this saturday i'm going to a who dunnit, and my character is a 50s scholar (i'm the senior class president and valedictorian), what should be my attire? i've never sewn in my life and i don't have the time to learn right now. all of your suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
