craftgrrl | Stained Glass and Inkblots (Reply)

Hi There,

New here and I already posted these in my journal, but I think they might apply to the community.

I drew the pattern in Adobe Illustrator, got a piece of plexiglass cut to the size of my window, then traced and painted the design with stained glass paints:

Inspired by that eMode Inkblot test thats been going around, I decided to fill up the cheap 3x5 Ikea frames that have been collecting dust under my bed with my own inkblots. Now I finally have "art" to adorn the empty expanse of wall in my room.

And finally, an empty canvas. My room came with a faux fireplace complete with gaping hole covered with manilla envelope and duct tape. I've been lazy about replacing the ugly manilla covering. Since I probably won't live here for very long, I don't want to invest that much into sprucing the fireplace up, but I think it has a lot of potential. Any ideas?
